An office trip to Bangalore for a crucial two-day project found me unexpectedly free after completing my tasks on the very first day. This unexpected downtime presented an opportunity, and it came in the form of a familiar face at the office.
There, I met a woman I’d only spoken to over the phone during our time together on the same team. While our conversations had been friendly, we’d never had the chance to meet in person. This Bangalore encounter would change that.
We struck up a conversation, and she mentioned she was divorced. We talked for hours, yet I hadn’t explored the possibility of a deeper connection. There was a spark, but I wouldn’t dream of pressuring her without her Consent.
Intrigued to find me solo, she extended an invitation to tag along when she suggested grabbing dinner with her friends. Though I initially thought it might be a formal affair, the atmosphere was surprisingly warm and inviting. Our conversation flowed easily, making the whole evening unexpectedly enjoyable.
As the night winds down, she asked me Would you mind if I gave you a ride back to your hotel?
As we settled into the hotel, I offered her a drink. Back in the day, she enjoyed a good cocktail, and with a smile, she accepted. We bellied up to the bar, and I noticed she was pouring herself some hefty pours.
